The latest rankings underscore GIFT City’s growing prominence on the global financial map, further reinforcing its status as a rising financial hub.

Additionally, its overall ranking improved from 52nd to 46th place. Significantly, GIFT City has maintained its position among the top 15 financial centres in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Global Financial Centres Index, compiled by the London-based Z/Yen Group, evaluates the competitiveness and appeal of financial hubs across the world. The assessment draws on 140 instrumental factors, including input from international organizations such as the World Bank, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the United Nations.
This year’s index evaluated 133 financial centres globally, with 119 qualifying for the main index. GIFT City’s progress attests to India’s increasing influence in global finance and demonstrates the city’s ability to draw international investors and financial enterprises.
Tapan Ray, Managing Director and Group CEO of GIFT City, expressed optimism on the development, stating, "GIFT City’s continued rise in the GFCI rankings reflects India’s growing influence in global finance. Our top position in reputational advantage, significant improvement in fintech, and strong overall performance underscore the confidence global investors and businesses place in GIFT City as a premier financial destination."
