Crypto Price Analysis – August 29, 2025: ETH, XRP, ADA, BNB, and HYPE
As the week closes on August 29, 2025, the cryptocurrency market shows mixed movements across major assets including Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Cardano (ADA), Binance Coin (BNB), and Hyperliquid (HYPE). In this analysis, we examine recent price trends, key support and resistance levels, and outlooks for these coins.
Ethereum (ETH)
Ethereum continued its bullish momentum by reaching a fresh record high of $4,960 this week, ultimately closing with a 5% gain. This performance reflects strong buyer interest; however, for ETH to sustain its rally, breaking and holding above the significant $5,000 resistance level will be crucial. At the time of writing, the price is undergoing a pullback to around $4,500 as bulls and bears contend for market control. Even if ETH dips toward the $4,000 support, buyers still appear favored given the prevailing pattern of higher highs. It is likely Ethereum will experience a consolidation phase below $5,000 before gathering enough strength to break through this critical threshold. Maintaining the price above $4,000 remains key for buyers to retain momentum.
Ripple (XRP)
XRP has struggled to escape its existing downtrend despite gaining a modest 2% during the past week. Notably, every time sellers pushed XRP below the $2.8 level, buyers have stepped in to reclaim the price. The current price movements have formed a descending triangle shape with a base near $2.8. A break below this base could trigger a further decline toward the next major support at $2.5. Until XRP manages to register higher highs, the downtrend is likely to persist. Traders should closely watch price reactions at the $2.8 support level as a retest appears imminent.
Cardano (ADA)
Cardano’s ADA has exhibited a flat price trend over the past four days, hovering near $0.85 with low volatility. This sideways movement, accompanied by declining trading volume, signals a loss of momentum and potentially points to weakness rather than bullish strength. A key support level to monitor is at $0.77. Without an increase in volume and buying interest, ADA risks testing this support level, which could lead to a short-term bearish outlook. In summary, the chart suggests Cardano may experience downward pressure if momentum does not improve soon.
Binance Coin (BNB)
Following last week’s all-time high near $900, Binance Coin has maintained its strength with a 2% gain this week. BNB appears to be consolidating recent gains within a range bounded by resistance at $900 and support at $830. This consolidation may serve as a pause before the next upward move. Given BNB’s breakout into new price records this year, the coin is considered one of the strongest performers. Many expect Binance Coin to continue pushing higher, with the psychological target of $1,000 coming into focus in the near term.
Hyperliquid (HYPE)
HYPE has attempted multiple times—three to date—to break and hold a price above the $50 mark but has been rejected each time. The latest attempt occurred this past week, where initial gains above $50 were short-lived as sellers pushed the price back down to $45. Despite the retracement, HYPE closed the week up 9%, maintaining a bullish bias while trading within an ascending triangle pattern. Strong support around $45 provides buyers with an advantageous stance. If this level holds, another breakout attempt is likely. However, a breakdown below $45 could lead to a deeper correction toward $40 or lower.
Summary
This week’s cryptocurrency price action reveals Ethereum and Binance Coin as strong contenders to continue their upward trajectories, contingent on key resistance breakouts and sustained support. Ripple and Cardano face challenges from prevailing downtrends and waning momentum, which could lead to further price declines without renewed buyer interest. Hyperliquid remains bullish but requires a successful breakout beyond $50 to confirm upside potential.
Investors and traders should closely monitor critical price levels—ETH at $5,000 and $4,000, XRP at $2.8 and $2.5, ADA at $0.85 and $0.77, BNB between $900 and $830, and HYPE around $50 and $45—to make informed decisions.
