PINTU Educates UPJ Students on AI, Cryptocurrency, and Blockchain Technology
KOTA TANGSEL, RADARBANTEN.CO.ID – PT Pintu Kemana Saja (PINTU) recently conducted an educational program titled “Blockvest Goes to Campus: Creativity in AI & Blockchain” at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ). The initiative focused on equipping university students with fundamental knowledge about artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, and the expanding career opportunities within the digital ecosystem.
Expanding Digital Literacy Among Students
The program offered in-depth material covering the evolution and fundamentals of AI, blockchain infrastructure, and cryptocurrencies. It served as a platform to highlight the potential of the digital economy and how young people can seize career opportunities arising from these technologies.
Ari Budi Santosa, Blockchain & Crypto Content Specialist at PINTU, emphasized the critical need for crypto literacy among students. “Crypto has garnered significant attention, especially from the younger generation. PINTU aims to provide fundamental understanding of digital assets so students can build a strong knowledge base and explore career opportunities within this industry,” he explained.
Integration of AI and Blockchain Technologies
Adding to the sessions, Isybel Harto, Founder and CTO of Usky AI, elaborated on how AI integrates with blockchain to foster innovative solutions. “AI revolutionizes the way we create, while blockchain brings transparency and security. We hope that students will creatively and wisely explore these technologies,” said Isybel.
Supporting these insights, data from the Indonesian Internet Providers Association (APJII) in 2025 shows that 27.34% of respondents are AI users, with Generation Z comprising 43.7% of this group. This reflects a growing enthusiasm among young Indonesians towards emerging digital technologies.
Growing Crypto Adoption in Indonesia
Such educational efforts align with Indonesia’s rapid adoption of cryptocurrency. As of October 2025, over 18 million Indonesians engage with crypto assets, with transaction volumes reaching approximately IDR 360.3 trillion in September 2025, according to data from Bappebti. Notably, Generation Z accounts for nearly 27% of crypto users, spotlighting the importance of fostering responsible knowledge in this demographic.
Ari reaffirmed PINTU’s commitment to enhancing digital literacy: “Our involvement in this program is a key step in promoting a foundational understanding of crypto and blockchain. With appropriate education, the younger generation can make informed decisions and leverage future career opportunities.”
UPJ’s Commitment to Digital Innovation Education
Prio Handoko, S.Kom., MT.I., Coordinator of Student Affairs of UPJ’s Informatics Department, expressed appreciation for the cross-sector collaboration. “AI and blockchain have become integral parts of daily life. Our Informatics Study Program is committed to establishing an IT Club specializing in Web3 and Blockchain, providing a platform for students eager to deepen their digital technology expertise. This seminar broadens our students’ understanding and sparks new interests in technology,” he remarked.
Looking Ahead
The “Blockvest Goes to Campus” program represents a proactive approach to prepare Indonesia’s young professionals for the digital economy. By fostering awareness and providing relevant knowledge about AI, blockchain, and cryptocurrency, initiatives like PINTU’s aim to empower students as they navigate and contribute to a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
