Crypto Millions: The Chinese Meme Coin That Turned $85 into $150,000
January 18, 2026 – By Evgeniya Likhodey, updated by Célia Simon
In the dynamic world of cryptocurrency, a new success story has recently captured attention after an anonymous trader managed to transform a modest investment of just $85 into an astounding $150,000 by trading a little-known Chinese meme coin.
The Unlikely Rise of a Chinese Meme Coin
The trader, using the blockchain address 0xf380, initially invested 0.1 BNB—equivalent to approximately $85 at the time—purchasing 6.25 million tokens called 我踏马来了 (translated loosely as “I ride the horse here”). This particular cryptocurrency was practically unknown and had almost no transaction history when the trader made the purchase.
The token experienced a sudden surge in value, leading to a dramatic increase in the trader’s portfolio.
How an $85 Investment Multiplied Over 1,700 Times
Just a few days following the purchase, the trader began to secure profits by selling 1.53 million of the tokens, receiving 34.88 BNB in return—roughly $31,500. The trader still holds onto 4.72 million tokens, which are currently valued at around $115,000. Combined, this brings the total gain to approximately $146,600, turning the initial investment into nearly 1,720 times the original amount.
The explosive growth in the coin’s value may be linked to its listing on Binance Alpha, a platform known for unveiling promising tokens. The trading activity and gains were all recorded on the public wallet address: 0xf3801f41366505e8207a0c692f6b6d003d005270, which first drew the interest of blockchain analytics firm Lookonchain.
A Cautionary Tale About Memecoins
While such stories are eye-catching, experts emphasize that they are exceptional cases rather than the norm. Memecoins are notorious for their extreme volatility, often losing value as rapidly as they gain it. Success in these ventures largely depends on an early entry, high risk tolerance, and favorable market conditions.
Moreover, behind many such success stories often lie individuals with privileged information or strategic advantages. Therefore, while this story highlights potential market opportunities, it should not be interpreted as a promise of reproducible results or a guaranteed investment strategy.
The Bottom Line
The rise of this Chinese meme coin is a spectacular example of the opportunities—and risks—present in the crypto market. For every winning memecoin, many others fail and result in losses. Investors should approach such volatile assets with caution and perform thorough research before committing funds.
