Bilt has officially released fresh details about its revamped rewards system, introducing Bilt Cash, a new secondary currency designed to complement the existing Bilt Rewards Points — one of the most valuable loyalty currencies currently available. This launch coincides with the rollout of three new credit cards and multiple earning options under Bilt’s 2.0 program. Here’s everything you need to know about how Bilt Cash works, how to earn it, and the exciting ways you can redeem it beginning February 1, 2026. ### What Is Bilt Cash?
Bilt Cash is not a replacement for the traditional Bilt Rewards Points but rather an additional currency that you can earn alongside points. It unlocks perks such as:
- Bonus credits with Bilt partners like Lyft and GrubHub
- Temporary status upgrades within the Bilt ecosystem
- Higher bonus earning rates on your Bilt credit cards
- Exclusive welcome bonuses and spending incentives
You can earn Bilt Cash at a 4% rate on nonhousing purchases if you select that earning option, which can be switched monthly based on your preference.
Bilt’s New Credit Cards and Welcome Bonuses
Bilt offers three cards in its suite, each with enticing welcome bonuses:
- Bilt Blue Card: $100 in Bilt Cash upon approval
- Bilt Obsidian Card: $200 in Bilt Cash upon approval
- Bilt Palladium Card: 50,000 bonus points plus Bilt Gold status (for remainder of this calendar year and the next) after $4,000 in spending within the first three months. You also receive $300 in Bilt Cash at approval and an additional $200 annually.
Flexible Earning Options
Cardholders must choose between two earning strategies for everyday purchases:
- Earn 4% in Bilt Cash on everyday purchases along with Bilt Rewards Points.
- Forego earning Bilt Cash but get credit towards earning a points multiplier (up to 1.25 points per dollar) on rent or mortgage payments, with no transaction fees.
This choice can be changed monthly, allowing flexibility that suits your spending habits and reward goals.

Highlights: Best Ways to Use Bilt Cash
-
Earn 3 Points per Dollar with the Bilt Palladium Card
By spending $200 in Bilt Cash, you can activate a point accelerator that adds 1 extra point per dollar on all nonhousing spending (up to $5,000) for both the Obsidian and Palladium cards. This feature can be used up to five times per year, meaning up to $25,000 in boosted spending annually.- Bilt Palladium Card: Normally 2 points per dollar on everyday spending; with point accelerator, effectively 3 points per dollar — an exceptional value estimated at 6.6 cents per dollar spent based on TPG’s valuations.
- Bilt Obsidian Card: Up to 4 points per dollar on dining and groceries, 3 points per dollar on travel, and 2 points per dollar on everyday spend when activated.
This option is ideal for those who maximize Bilt points through high-value partners like World of Hyatt or during special Rent Day transfer bonuses.
-
Experience Blade Helicopter Rides
For cardholders with significant Bilt Cash balances, redeeming for two premium helicopter rides annually (up to $350 per seat) offers an exclusive travel experience, such as quick trips to and from JFK or Newark airports in New York City.
Looking Ahead
Bilt’s 2.0 program represents a sophisticated expansion of the Bilt rewards ecosystem, offering cardholders greater flexibility in how they earn and redeem rewards. With the addition of Bilt Cash, members can enjoy more diverse redemptions and unlock value-boosting options like enhanced earning rates and travel perks.
Keep an eye on updates from Bilt as the company continues to broaden partner offerings and the ways members can leverage Bilt Cash to increase the value of their everyday spending and lifestyle experiences.
