Former President Donald Trump to Address Cryptocurrency Conference in Florida

Washington, April 24, 2026 — Former U.S. President Donald Trump is set to deliver remarks at a cryptocurrency conference this Saturday, April 26, at his private Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida, the White House confirmed on Thursday.

The event marks one of the most high-profile gatherings in the crypto industry this year, with Trump slated as the keynote speaker, according to the conference website. Attendance is reportedly "strictly limited" to the top 297 holders of the meme cryptocurrency named $TRUMP, a coin launched in the former president’s honor.

Since returning to the White House in January 2025, Trump has advocated for numerous crypto-friendly policies, signaling a notable shift toward embracing digital currencies and blockchain technologies during his administration.

However, the upcoming conference has drawn criticism and scrutiny from some Democratic lawmakers. Upon the announcement earlier this month, Senators Elizabeth Warren, Adam Schiff, and Richard Blumenthal voiced concerns over potential conflicts of interest, demanding that Congress investigate how Trump and his family might be profiting from their cryptocurrency ventures.

“It is essential that Congress fully understand the extent to which President Trump and his family are profiting off his cryptocurrency ventures,” the senators stated in a joint letter.

Trump is involved in multiple crypto enterprises, including the aforementioned $TRUMP meme coin and a family-led project known as World Liberty Financial. Despite the scrutiny, Trump has denied any wrongdoing related to these ventures.

The forthcoming conference at Mar-a-Lago represents both a symbol of Trump’s continued influence in U.S. politics and an extension of his efforts to promote digital assets as a mainstream financial instrument.
