When asked if he was disappointed to face Rhodes over The Rock, Reigns maintained his focus on being in the main event itself rather than the opponent.
“It doesn’t matter to me. I was the main event. I’m the guy everyone wanted to dance with. It’s where we just need to get there and defend this thing. It didn’t matter who it is. They are trying to stop history from happening,” Reigns stated.
The narrative at WrestleMania 40 unfolded with The Rock turning heel and aligning himself with Reigns after fan backlash regarding the initial plans. Sources reported to Fightful Select reveal that Femi has not been seen backstage since his loss to Tony D’Angelo at the October 27 Halloween Havoc event.
Femi’s absence follows a tough period, where he dropped the North American Championship after a record 272-day reign and then lost a rematch to D’Angelo.
