Crypto Analyst Predicts XRP Could Reach $50 Amid Ripple’s Regulatory Advances

Baku, July 4, 2025 — Vincent Van Code, a software engineer and long-time vocal supporter of XRP, has sparked renewed discussion within the cryptocurrency community by forecasting a dramatic surge for XRP, the native token of Ripple Labs. His prediction comes in the wake of Ripple’s recent announcements regarding its pursuit of a US banking charter and a Federal Reserve master account — moves that could position the company at the forefront of integrating crypto innovation with traditional financial infrastructure.

Ripple Seeks to Become the First Crypto Bank

On July 2, Ripple confirmed it is actively seeking regulatory approvals that would allow it to operate as a full-scale bank within the United States. This groundbreaking initiative includes the pursuit of a federal banking charter and direct access to a Federal Reserve master account, which, according to Van Code, would revolutionize Ripple’s role in finance.

“With Ripple announcing they are seeking a banking charter as well as a Fed master account, this means they will be the very first crypto bank,” Van Code explained in a post on X (formerly Twitter). He elaborated that these approvals would enable Ripple to hold reserves directly with the Federal Reserve, eliminating reliance on commercial banks as intermediaries. This capability could allow Ripple to operate a full-service financial institution offering both traditional fiat and cryptocurrency services.

Potential to Offer FDIC-Insured Crypto Banking

One of the most transformative implications Van Code highlighted involves the possibility for Ripple to offer FDIC-insured deposit accounts, possibly extending insurance to certain crypto assets up to the standard $250,000 limit. Coupled with the ability to lend against crypto collateral such as XRP, this could mark a fundamental shift in how crypto assets are treated within mainstream finance.

“That’s going to be nuts,” Van Code emphasized, calling the integration of insured crypto banking with Ripple’s existing cross-border remittance services “a paradigm shift.” He suggested the period from 2025 to 2026 could be viewed historically as the time when the century-old banking cartel begins to crumble.

Strategic Access to US Payment Systems and Global Markets

Securing a master account with the Federal Reserve would grant Ripple direct access to major US payment systems, including Fedwire and FedNow, enabling it to act as a settlement counterparty in the US financial system. When combined with Ripple’s efforts in stablecoins, such as RLUSD—a digital dollar backed by the Federal Reserve—and its global remittance network RippleNet, these regulatory milestones could firmly position Ripple within both domestic and international payment ecosystems.

XRP Price Prediction: $30 to $50

Building on these developments, Van Code—who rarely makes price predictions—offered a bold forecast for XRP’s value. “My opinion is $30–$50,” he stated. While not specifying a precise timeline, Van Code underscored that his expectations are grounded in key macroeconomic indicators and unfolding market trends rather than speculation.

He cited several driving factors behind his prediction including:

  • The potential approval of an XRP spot Exchange Traded Fund (ETF), which could open doors for significant institutional capital inflows estimated between $20 billion and $50 billion.
  • Adoption of RippleNet capturing 20–30% of the estimated $1 trillion global cross-border payments market.
  • The deployment of XRP as a bridge asset facilitating central bank digital currency (CBDC) corridors in over 50 countries.
  • Growing demand for RLUSD as a Fed-backed stablecoin strengthening XRP’s utility.
  • The possibility of XRP being integrated into Saudi oil settlements, supported by Ripple’s confirmed collaboration with the Saudi central bank set to unfold in 2024. ### Community Reactions and Market Outlook

Van Code’s prediction has resonated strongly within the XRP community, sparking lively debate and enthusiasm. “People weighed in on XRP price… Lots of interesting opinions. But common across all is everyone expecting price to at least 5x. This is a great sign,” he commented.

Skeptics may argue that a $30 to $50 price range would imply a multi-trillion-dollar market capitalization, raising questions about feasibility. However, proponents see Ripple’s regulatory path as a critical gateway toward institutional legitimacy and widespread adoption. The convergence of a US banking charter, Fed master account, ETF approvals, and expanding global usage represents, in their view, a potential roadmap for monumental growth.
